Hot water is the villain here. It kills the shrink resistance and fades the color and print way faster than you'd expect. Turn the hoodie inside out and loosen the drawstrings before it goes in, this keeps the fabric from pilling and the cords from getting tangled or pulled out.

Skip the dryer, line dry in shade. Heavyweight cotton takes a little longer to dry, that's normal, give it the time. Lay it flat or hang it from the body, not the hood, so it doesn't stretch out. Iron on the reverse if needed, never straight onto a graphic.
